In India, if you want to bestow upon your baby good luck you have it tossed from a 40' tower. On to a sheet, of course. Strange but true, this 500 year old ritual is still performed today. Have a look. But be warned, it's a little nerve wrenching. From CNN:
Needless to say, we couldn't get away with that here . . . and I'm not sure I'm unhappy about that. Sorta makes what Michael Jackson did pale in comparison.
